Crear – The Perfect Romantic Wedding Location

Getting married is one of the biggest days of your life, but the planning can be stressful. If you opt for a wedding at Crear , you can forget the stress and the worry.

The Beach

Firstly, there’s the beach. There are breathtaking views across the water that take in the Isle of Islay, Jura, Gigha and the Rathlin Island Lighthouse. You might need wellies, but there’s something magical about being by the sea on such a romantic occasion.

The Accommodation

Then there’s the accommodation. You can stay at Crear for up to 3 nights with close friends and family. There’s room for up to 18 guests in luxury accommodation that includes a wood burning stove, a fully equipped kitchen and the essentials such as fluffy towels, a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. The rooms are designed for comfort and you’ll want for nothing during your stay.

Invite those dearest to you to spend the day before your wedding, the wedding day and the day after with you at Crear. Enjoy relaxing meals, breezy walks or romantic bonfires on the beach, so that you start your honeymoon feeling relaxed and refreshed.

The Wedding Reception

Weddings and wedding receptions are usually held in the Crear studio, which is a fabulous room with a solid oak floor and a 60-foot long glass wall from where you can admire the views out to sea to the Paps of Jura. If you need more room there’s a marquee.

The Food

Meals and wedding menus are all prepared by Alan Boslem who is one of Scotland’s best chefs. You can choose a menu or create your own, the choice is yours. The food can be complimented with a wide variety of fine wines, soft drinks and tea or coffee.

Music and Photography

Crear Weddings will also arrange the music and Rising View can do the photography for your big day. You can have Scottish pipers, a three piece orchestra or a singing group to make your reception something to remember.
Crear is the ideal place to take advantage of Drone Photography. There’s plenty of space to get a drone in the air and take some 360 aerial photographs of you, your guests and the surrounding area. For photo ideas see our wedding blog here. Drone photography can add a different perspective to your wedding album, especially in a location as dramatic as Crear. Combining drone photography with traditional ground photographs means that you get a full view of the Crear wedding venue from above and on land.
