“The Many Benefits of Using Drone Photography to Market your Golf Course”
Golf, which was introduced to Britain in the 15thcentury is now a popular sport played by men, women and children across the United Kingdom.
In England, Merseyside, the West Midlands, Surrey and Middlesex have the most land given over to golf courses. While in Scotland St Andrews, a town which has a population of around 70,000 has twelve golf courses alone, as well as numerous others, including Gleneagles, Balcomie, Muirfield, Carnoustie, Royal Toon and Prestwick.
Competition
With so many courses competition for players is fierce and golf course owners and managers need to be on their toes to keep loyal players and attract new ones. Golf Club membership varies from club to club, but it’s a sport that requires a substantial investment. This means that players expect a course that’s well managed and maintained and also has good facilities for relaxation after a game.
Golf courses like any other business can now be viewed on the internet. It makes sense then that the information should be available with clear easy to read text and top quality images.
How Drone Photography can be used as a Marketing Tool
Players who want to see a golf course before a visit will expect to see images on the course’s website. Drone photography of a golf course enables those people to get perfect views of the course and the surrounding area. As well as still shots from the ground, a drone can provide aerial video capturing angles that just aren’t possible with traditional photography.
How Drone Photography Can Help Your Advertising
Advertising is one of the most important areas of sales and marketing. The revenue advertising brings in helps to keep a golf course running well and in profit. Allowing advertisers to sponsor a hole on your golf hole by hole flyover videos gives you 18 spots to sell. Even at £50 per hole that would be a revenue of £900 per year!
The Drone Photography Package
Rising View can provide a video of your golf course together with an aerial view of each hole and a 360-degree interactive panorama, allowing the viewer to click on each hole individually. That means each person who is browsing your website can take a fly through of the fairway from Tee to Green. It can be accompanied by a voiceover, text or music.
For advertising purposes, we also offer an upgrade to include ground filming. That way you have the perfect set of images to use in all your marketing materials.
